Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, escort them to tables when required, present menus, and explain dishes, beverages, and specials.
• Take accurate orders, communicate them to the kitchen, serve promptly, and check guest satisfaction.
• Respond politely to questions, requests, and concerns; coordinate with kitchen staff, cashiers, and service colleagues.
• Prepare tables, arrange cutlery, maintain a clean dining area, clear dishes, and reset tables.
• Follow food hygiene, health, and safety procedures; assist with billing and payments when required.
• Report complaints or service issues to the supervisor and support opening, closing, and other assigned service duties.

Requirements

• Good verbal communication, customer service, teamwork, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Basic English proficiency; additional languages are an advantage.
• A friendly personality, professional guest-service approach, and ability to take orders accurately and follow instructions.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy food and beverage environment and handle requests and complaints politely.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods and carry serving trays where required.
• High school education or equivalent is preferred.
• Relevant waiter/waitress or restaurant, hotel, café, or hospitality experience is an advantage.
• Food hygiene and safe food-handling knowledge is an advantage.
