The role requires accurate payment processing, cash records, and professional customer service in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, answer basic questions, process approved payment methods, and issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations.
- Operate the POS system; verify prices, quantities, discounts, and payment amounts; maintain accurate transaction records.
- Count the cash drawer at shift start and end, maintain cash balances, and process returns, refunds, and exchanges under company procedures.
- Report discrepancies; maintain daily sales and payment records; assist with end-of-day reports.
- Coordinate with sales, accounts, and customer service; handle information confidentially; keep the counter organized.
- Follow cash-handling, security, and fraud-prevention procedures; support stock checks, product arrangement, and other assigned store duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is an advantage.
- Previous cashier, sales assistant, retail associate, or similar experience is preferred.
- Basic mathematics and calculation skills; cash and card transaction experience is an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge; POS familiarity is preferred.
- Good English communication; additional languages are an advantage.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, honesty, responsibility, trustworthiness, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain professional during busy periods and work independently and as part of a team.
- UAE experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
