Technical Project Manager – Generative AI

Role overview

Project delivery

• Lead end-to-end project planning, requirements gathering, development, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, and success criteria; translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Coordinate solution design involving LLMs, NLP, RAG pipelines, and multimodal AI.
• Manage cross-functional teams, schedules, budgets, dependencies, risks, resources, and change requests.
• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and monitor KPIs, milestones, deliverables, and quality metrics; report to senior management.
• Coordinate model development, testing, fine-tuning, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and decisions; support client engagements, presentations, proposals, and pre-sales when required.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
• 10–12+ years in IT project management, technical program management, or technology delivery; at least 3–5 years managing AI/ML projects.
• Track record delivering complex technology projects to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Strong understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle and working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and AI applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Jira or Confluence.
• Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI, data privacy, security, and ethical AI; strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.

Tools and preferred qualifications

• Relevant frameworks and platforms include LangChain, Hugging Face, and OpenAI APIs.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, cloud, and AI/ML certifications are preferred.
• Enterprise Generative AI implementations, digital transformation, AI architecture, LLM integration, RAG, and AI application deployment are preferred experience.
• Regulated-sector experience, AI quality assurance, model evaluation, performance monitoring, Responsible AI assessment, and pre-sales support are preferred.

Work arrangement

• The role is based onsite in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
