Senior Full Stack Engineer

Role overview

Application development

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React.js and Python and/or Node.js.
• Build, deploy, and maintain backend services, APIs, and business logic integrated with AWS.
• Develop reusable, responsive, high-performance React.js components.
• Design, implement, and integrate RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
• Use AWS Lambda, Amplify, API Gateway, and RDS/MySQL for cloud-native application development and support.
• Implement real-time functionality with WebSockets where required.
• Contribute to microservices, serverless architectures, and event-driven systems.

Engineering delivery and collaboration

• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and security across frontend and backend components.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD workflows and version control practices.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver business requirements.
• Follow coding standards, architecture principles, and development best practices; stay current with relevant technologies.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Six to ten years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Strong backend expertise using Python and/or Node.js.
• Hands-on React.js experience building responsive, scalable, interactive interfaces.
• Understanding of component-based architecture, state management, reusable components, and responsive design.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
• Practical experience with AWS Lambda, Amplify, API Gateway, and RDS/MySQL.
• Understanding of microservices, serverless computing, and event-driven application design.
• Experience implementing real-time application functionality using WebSockets.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Git, and version control workflows.
• Strong application performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Exposure to Docker and containerized application development is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS CDK or AWS CloudFormation is preferred.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is preferred.
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to code quality and engineering best practices are preferred.
• Understanding cloud security, application scalability, and software deployment best practices is preferred.
