Role Overview

Customer Engagement and Solutions Design

• Design, implement, and manage AWS, partner, and open-source data solutions that meet technical and business needs.
• Conduct on-site technical assessments and customer visits and create reference architectures.
• Create a modern data ecosystem vision with customer business and technology stakeholders.

Data Architecture and Delivery

• Define and implement data lake and lakehouse architectures across private and public cloud services.
• Guide implementations across Amazon RDS, Aurora, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Glue, Kinesis, MSK, Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Flink, and Trino.
• Assess current infrastructure and propose migration strategies to AWS.
• Own technical engagements, project planning, execution, and successful value delivery.
• Ensure project delivery complies with security and governance standards.

Collaboration

• Collaborate with sales and technical teams on proposals and customer needs assessments.
• Represent customer needs to AWS service teams and executive leadership.
• Share successes and learnings with the AWS Solutions Architect community.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a relevant technology domain.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation and consulting experience in software or Internet industries.
• Experience with big data processing, data warehouse architecture, ETL, and reporting or analytics environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and AWS services, customers, market segments, and industry verticals.
• Experience influencing organizations or delivering complex software systems to customers.

Travel

• Travel up to 25% domestically, with some international travel.

Compensation

• San Francisco base salary range is USD 176,600 to USD 239,000 annually.
• New York base salary range is USD 169,000 to USD 228,600 annually.
• Arlington and Seattle base salary range is USD 153,600 to USD 207,800 annually.
• Compensation may include sign-on payments, restricted stock units, and benefits.
