AWS Enterprise Support seeks a Senior Technical Account Manager to support customer innovation across cloud technologies.
The TAM acts as a principal technical advisor and customer advocate, not as a salesperson.
Customers range from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises and span industries including automotive, financial services, energy, and big data.
Responsibilities
- Help customers develop and execute strategies for adopting and using AWS services.
- Provide strategic technical guidance on planning and building solutions with best practices.
- Proactively support the operational health of customer AWS environments.
- Represent AWS in customer environments and discuss incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk with senior leaders.
- Understand customers' business and operational needs and technical challenges to help them realize value from AWS.
- Travel 10% or more as needed.
Technologies and services
- Work across AWS compute, storage, databases, networking, serverless, application services, and related technologies.
- Examples include EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and IoT.
Basic qualifications
- At least 5 years of design, implementation, operations, or consulting experience with distributed applications.
- At least 5 years of technical engineering experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
- Experience as a technical lead in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment.
Compensation
- The description lists a base salary range of CAD 126,000 to CAD 210,400 annually for Toronto, Ontario; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
- The package may include sign-on payments, restricted stock units, and benefits.
