Senior Engagement Manager, Professional Services

Key Job Responsibilities

• Manage projects independently and also deliver as part of larger teams.
• Own work streams end to end, starting by understanding the customer required outcomes, then leading the team through delivery.
• Manage customer expectations, proactively handle risks, and follow an effective governance structure to deliver solutions tied to customer business objectives.
• Communicate effectively with AWS team members, stakeholders, and customer counterparts.
• Achieve customer satisfaction as a relevant driver of work.
• Embrace and apply the Amazon Leadership Principles, proactively engaging other teams to learn and share.
• Participate actively in the recruitment and onboarding of future team members.
• Travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of leading multiple Agile teams (like Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently or at scale.
• 7+ years of leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM field.
• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS or equivalent.
• Experience in enterprise IT, either as a vendor, consultant, or prior experience working with or managing technical programs.
• 7+ years of delivering customer engagements in a professional services role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management certification such as PMP, Scrum, or other Agile certification.
• AWS certification.
• Experience with Agile or other program management methodologies.
• Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations.
• 5+ years of cloud and on-premise integration experience, or Bachelor's degree.

Work Environment

• This is a customer facing role requiring travel to client locations to deliver professional services when needed.
