Solutions Architects help customers modernise legacy platforms, adopt AI and cloud-native architectures, and accelerate their digital agendas.
Key Job Responsibilities
- In partnership with Account Managers and Business Development, support long-term customer success, satisfaction, and trust through the adoption of AWS services and well-architected solutions.
- Serve as a technical advisor for enterprise customers in the Riyadh and central Saudi Arabia region, building relationships with customer stakeholders and contributing to their technology strategy.
- Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud, including competitive migration paths from other cloud providers to AWS.
- Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many enablement sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS (e.g., Dev Days, Immersion Days, Workshops, and GameDays).
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community; contribute to customer-facing publications such as white papers, blog posts, and reference architectures.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, AWS Service Teams, and Support — gathering product feedback, driving feature requests, and collaborating with fellow Solutions Architects in the region.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
A Day in the Life
Reviewing an architecture proposal for an enterprise customer exploring a migration from on-premises or competing cloud platforms to AWS.
Joining a technical session with a customer's engineering team to work through a solution design for their application platform and advise on the right mix of compute, AI/ML, and data services.
Collaborating with the Account Manager and wider account team on a strategy call, contributing to the technical win plan for a competitive opportunity and identifying the right Specialist SAs or ProServe resources.
Supporting a workshop or Immersion Day for developers at a customer site, walking them through hands-on labs on Amazon Bedrock, GenAI application patterns, or container modernisation with EKS.
Capturing feedback on product gaps, contributing to a blog post on a solution pattern, or reviewing an architecture alongside a teammate.
Participating in internal syncs with the broader KSA SA team, community knowledge-sharing sessions, and preparation for upcoming events.
