Role overview

AWS seeks a Senior Solutions Architect for its Commercial Sector Enterprise team in the UAE.

The role advises major enterprise customers across financial services, retail, travel and hospitality, and media.

The architect helps customers modernize workloads and build cloud, data, analytics, generative AI, and machine-learning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical relationships with enterprise customers and understand their business drivers and technology estates.
  • Design credible AWS adoption paths and build technical cases, total-cost-of-ownership analyses, migration strategies, and proofs of value.
  • Build prototypes, proofs of concept, migration runbooks, landing-zone blueprints, and production-ready reference architectures.
  • Help customers build generative AI and machine-learning solutions and move them toward production at scale.
  • Partner with Account Managers and Business Development on account go-to-market strategies.
  • Advocate for customer needs within AWS and share prioritized feedback to influence service roadmaps.
  • Create workshops, immersion days, blog posts, code samples, reference architectures, and public talks.
  • Mentor fellow Solutions Architects and share technical knowledge.

Basic qualifications

  • 10+ years in relevant technology domains, including software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
  • 10+ years in application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
  • Experience architecting or deploying cloud or virtualization solutions for enterprise customers.
  • Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
  • Ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders or clients.

Preferred qualifications

  • 10+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
  • Experience working with end-user or developer communities and migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience architecting or operating AWS solutions and demonstrating technical breadth in AWS or cloud fundamentals.
  • Experience designing landing zones, multi-account strategies, and governance frameworks for new adopters.
