HSE Manager role with Al-Futtaim Retail as part of the Sinyar Management Program.
Guide safety across retail operations, support compliance and improve safety practices.
The role combines day-to-day responsibilities with development programme milestones.
HSE systems and compliance
- Improve the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and develop checklists, guidelines and workflows.
- Oversee the HSSE Incident Management System and provide technical HSE support across retail business units.
- Analyze incident and inspection data and prepare dashboards and reports.
- Support compliance with local health and safety laws; manage HSE certificates, attestations and permits.
- Monitor regulatory updates and advise stakeholders on applicable requirements.
Initiatives, audits and expertise
- Identify safety improvements, implement initiatives and coordinate projects from initiation through delivery.
- Develop policies, guidelines and procedures to strengthen safety practices.
- Conduct workplace inspections and incident investigations, identify hazards and root causes, and prepare recommendations.
- Maintain inspection and incident records and statistics and improve audit and inspection processes.
- Advise on OHS standards, risk assessments and risk mitigation; deliver awareness sessions and prepare HSE materials.
Business collaboration
- Coordinate with the Group HSSE Committee and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations, reports, meeting minutes and HSE communications.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Health & Safety, Occupational Health or a related field.
- Diploma in Engineering, Safety or a related discipline, with NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent certification.
- Sound knowledge of HSE systems, audits and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Good Microsoft Office and English communication skills; Arabic is a plus.
