The HSE Manager joins Al-Futtaim Retail through the Sinyar Management Program.
The role provides specialist HSE guidance, supports compliance, and improves safety standards across retail operations.
HSE systems and compliance
- Administer and improve the OHS Management System; develop checklists, guidelines, and workflows; oversee the HSSE Incident Management System.
- Provide technical support across retail business units and analyze incident and inspection data for dashboards and reports.
- Support compliance with local health and safety laws; manage HSE certificates, attestations, and permits; monitor regulatory updates and advise stakeholders.
Initiatives, audits, and expertise
- Partner with management on safety improvements and incident prevention; implement initiatives and coordinate projects through delivery.
- Develop safety policies, guidelines, and procedures; inspect workplaces and investigate incidents to identify hazards and root causes.
- Prepare technical recommendations and maintain inspection and incident records; improve audit and inspection processes.
- Advise on OHS standards, risk assessments, and mitigation; deliver awareness sessions and develop HSE materials.
Business collaboration
- Coordinate with the Group HSSE Committee and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations, reports, minutes, and communication materials for HSSE meetings and stakeholder updates.
What you bring
- At least 5 years of experience in Health and Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Diploma in Engineering, Safety, or a related discipline, with NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent certification.
- Sound knowledge of HSE systems, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; good Microsoft Office and English communication skills.
- Arabic is a plus.
Sinyar development programme
Alongside the HSE Manager role, the successful candidate participates in the wider Sinyar Development Programme and its milestones.
Performance is assessed through role deliverables, programme milestones, and the line manager's assessment.
