Senior Solutions Architect, AWS Global Sales - Saudi Arabia

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Drive customer success and trust through AWS adoption and well-architected solutions.
• Advise enterprise customers in Jeddah and western Saudi Arabia and influence their technology strategies.
• Lead architecture discussions and cloud deployment planning, including migrations from competing providers.
• Deliver customer enablement sessions, workshops, Immersion Days, Dev Days, and GameDays.
• Share best practices and contribute white papers, blog posts, and reference architectures.
• Relay product feedback, drive feature requests, and mentor regional Solutions Architects.

Example work

• Prepare enterprise migration architecture proposals and advise on microservices, compute, AI/ML, data, and container modernization.
• Coordinate technical win plans with account teams and identify specialist or Professional Services support.
• Lead hands-on customer workshops, review architectures, capture product feedback, and prepare technical publications.

Basic qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics.
• 3+ years of application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or Internet industries.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture.

Preferred qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience working with end-user or developer communities and in a technical role within a sales organization.
• Experience presenting to executives, IT, management, and developers.
• Experience designing or advising on AI/ML workloads, including training, inference, and cloud deployment.
• Experience with generative AI and enterprise uses such as foundation models, RAG, AI agents, or prompt engineering.
• Preferred: data pipeline/platform architecture for AI/ML, or hands-on experience with SageMaker, Bedrock, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or equivalent platforms.

Technical scope

• The role requires broad competence across generative and agentic AI, cloud infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, and data analytics, with depth in at least two or three areas.
• The role connects technology choices with measurable customer business value.
