Senior Software Engineer, New Verticals

The role

What you’ll own

• Direct agents to build salon payment services, including checkout, booking deposits, no-show fees, tips, refunds, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Own integrations with salon platforms, booking platforms, payment providers, financial partners, and other third parties.
• Define specifications, acceptance criteria, tests, and evaluations; design the agent workflow and its verification, merging, and deployment.
• Build agents for client questions, booking and payment exceptions, and reconciliation.
• Add permissions, human approvals, guardrails, observability, audit trails, and fallbacks to agents handling sensitive operations.
• Improve workflow speed, reliability, security, and cost.

Who you are and what you’ll need

• Already use AI agents as the default way of working rather than as an add-on to hand-coding.
• Have shipped production-grade software through AI coding agents and have hands-on production experience with LLM APIs, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows.
• Fluent in English; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Know system design, REST APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing, distributed systems, databases, data modelling, and database design.
• Have experience with payment providers, booking or POS systems, or complex third-party integrations.
• Understand AI risks such as hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage, non-deterministic behavior, and unsafe tool execution.
• Have experience with automated testing, evaluations, observability, debugging, and performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Payments, fintech, beauty and wellness tech, booking platforms, or high-growth marketplace experience.
• Payment gateways, transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, or chargeback systems experience.
• Building agents for APIs, databases, internal tools, or operational workflows.
• Model evaluation, prompt and context management, AI observability, guardrails, or LLM cost optimization.
• Running coding agents in parallel or building safety tooling and CI; vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, or retrieval systems.
• Cloud platforms, containerized services, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, PCI DSS, GDPR, and secure development practices.
