Role overview
The Merchant Onboarding Intern works with the Qatar Operations Manager to onboard restaurants, train staff, and maintain accurate setups after launch.
The role is customer-facing and involves restaurant owners, managers, POS providers, and hands-on use of administrative systems.
Responsibilities
- Train front-of-house staff at new and existing restaurants.
- Process merchant submissions and collect and check KYC documents.
- Configure restaurants in the qlub admin panel.
- Coordinate restaurant launches with POS providers and Sales, Integrations, and Menu & Design teams.
- Action requests for commission, payment cycles, bank details, and configurations.
- Maintain an equipment inventory list.
Requirements
- Recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and lived in Doha for 3+ years.
- Available full-time in Doha and willing to travel between restaurants during the day.
- Arabic is required; Excel or Google Sheets skills are required.
- Tech-savvy, especially with AI tools, and comfortable working shifts of 9am–6pm or 12pm–9pm.
- Confident with external stakeholders, organized, reliable, proactive, and willing to learn.
Preferred qualifications
- A valid Qatar driving licence is a strong advantage.
- F&B, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is a plus.
Schedule
- Available shifts are 9am–6pm or 12pm–9pm.
Workplace
- Based in Doha, with movement between restaurant locations during the day and on-site staff training.
