Senior Site Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and coordinate consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Review IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and method statements; ensure work meets approved requirements and applicable standards.
• Monitor progress, schedule, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor productivity; prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Coordinate inspections and approvals; follow up on RFIs, inspection requests, material submittals, and technical queries.
• Monitor workmanship and coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams on quality and safety.
• Identify site issues, coordinate solutions, and manage coordination between disciplines to avoid clashes and delays.
• Verify quantities and support progress claims and variation orders; attend site meetings and update the Project Manager.
• Maintain site records and support testing, commissioning, snagging, and project handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of construction experience; substantial UAE construction experience is sought.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, standards, and authority requirements.
• Experience with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors; knowledge of drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Primavera P6 or other planning software is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and construction safety requirements.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
• UAE driving licence and relevant professional certification or engineering registration are advantages.
• Immediate availability is an advantage.
