Senior Site Engineer

Role overview

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 6 years of relevant UAE construction experience in a civil site engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, site execution, UAE construction practices, standards, and authority requirements.
• Experience working with consultants, subcontractors, and main contractors.
• Ability to read structural, architectural, and civil drawings; strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and site inspections.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple site activities under pressure.
• A UAE driving license is an advantage.
• Building, commercial, residential, or high-rise project experience is preferred.

Site delivery and coordination

• Supervise and manage daily civil construction activities at the project site.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, UAE regulations, approved materials, specifications, and authority requirements.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and coordinate civil works with MEP and other disciplines to avoid clashes and delays.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance.

Quality, reporting, and project closeout

• Conduct inspections and coordinate approvals and inspections with QA/QC teams.
• Ensure proper implementation of site health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Identify technical issues and coordinate timely resolution with the project team.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress reports, inspection requests, and other project documentation.
• Ensure the quality of concrete, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, finishes, and other civil works.
• Verify quantities and assist with measurements, material requirements, and project documentation.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical updates to the Project Manager or Construction Manager.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and closeout activities.
