Senior engineer role implementing and supporting enterprise voice, collaboration, and supporting network infrastructure for a client in Dubai.
The posting specifies 6–8+ years of experience.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain VoIP and telephony systems.
- Support Cisco CUCM, Webex, Avaya, Microsoft Teams Voice, and Asterisk collaboration platforms.
- Manage supporting LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot voice and connectivity issues and maintain call quality through QoS.
- Handle system migrations, upgrades, security patching, and capacity planning.
- Coordinate with vendors, maintain technical documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
What the employer is looking for
- Hands-on experience in voice/collaboration and network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and NAT.
- Experience with wireless networks, WLCs, access points, and voice optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Exposure to SD-WAN, VPNs, load balancers, and network security solutions is an added advantage.
