Overview

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director HRBP to join the team of a leader in the Media space.

This role will serve as a strategic people partner to business leaders, helping connect talent strategy with operating priorities.

You will partner with global leaders, HR centers of excellence, and functional stakeholders to create consistent practices across teams and regions.

The position offers the opportunity to influence team performance, leadership capability, and scalable people practices within a Media environment.

Location: Novato, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $210,000 – $310,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior HRBP for Shared Development Studios, collaborating with executives on the people agenda
  • Lead and scale a dedicated HRBP team, ensuring high-quality HR delivery
  • Provide strategic guidance on organizational design and workforce planning in a complex environment
  • Act as an advisor on people-related matters, aligning HR strategies with business priorities
  • Manage labor relations, guiding contract interpretation and compliance with agreements
  • Oversee HR strategies across multiple geographies, ensuring cultural and regulatory alignment
  • Champion talent management strategies, including performance evaluations and growth pathways for early-career roles

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive HRBP experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a Senior Director role in large organizations (1,000+ employees)
  • Expertise in labor relations and collective bargaining agreements; required, not optional
  • Global HR experience, including knowledge of North American and at least one other international market's employment law
  • Experience supporting high-volume, early-career, transactional workforces
  • Demonstrated capability to build and lead HRBP teams, focusing on talent development and consistent delivery
  • Strong business acumen to align HR strategies with operational models
  • Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in presenting data-driven narratives to senior leadership
