Overview

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director Deal Strategy & Enablement to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience.

You will partner with sales leadership, HR centers of excellence, and cross-functional stakeholders to align talent priorities with commercial execution.

The position offers the opportunity to influence culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Redwood City, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $240,000 – $360,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Lead a 40-person global Deal Strategy & Enablement team through significant transformation
  • Co-own the Commercial Transformation with senior leadership, focusing on strategic shifts
  • Develop the brand of Deal Strategy & Enablement to become a key partner for Sales teams
  • Manage end-to-end deal-cycle accountability, presenting key metrics weekly
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to remove deal approval friction proactively
  • Chair the consolidated Deal Governance operating system to ensure consistent practices
  • Create and maintain standardized deal templates and playbooks for operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in deal desk leadership or commercial operations, specifically in transformation contexts
  • 5+ years of experience managing global teams (40+ people) through operational changes
  • Direct experience with Deal Governance and pricing committee operations
  • Proven success influencing C-suite executives and senior stakeholders without formal authority
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce and CPQ environments, especially in approval workflow design and reporting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for briefing executive audiences
