Overview

For our client, we are seeking a Director Data Science & Analytics to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery.

You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action.

The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: San Jose, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $241,000 – $349,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth intelligence for Firefly by defining success metrics and strategic decision frameworks
  • Present analytical insights and recommendations to senior leadership and C-suite, translating complex data into actionable narratives
  • Promote analytical rigor within the Firefly organization, developing standards and inspiring data-driven decision-making
  • Develop customer segmentation models to identify behavior patterns for targeted strategies
  • Create and manage forecasting models to predict user engagement and demand
  • Enhance customer value through acquisition and retention strategy development
  • Lead churn modeling to identify at-risk users and propose preventative actions

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or similar fields, preferably with consumer products or AI businesses
  • Proven track record at a senior individual contributor level, impacting strategy beyond immediate teams
  • Experience presenting and influencing high-level executives with data-driven insights
  • Deep knowledge of the creator economy, understanding diverse creator segments
  • Proficient in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or equivalent
  • Strong foundation in statistical modeling and lifecycle analytics
