Role overview
Leads security incident response for the AWS CloudOps team and owns building and managing a team of incident managers and technical leaders.
Works with incident responders and engineering teams to drive timely risk mitigation in a large-scale cloud environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing security engineering team, including recruiting, development and retention.
- Set incident management SLAs, metrics and quality standards; measure team performance and security program effectiveness.
- Partner with service teams to prioritize and remediate issues based on risk and customer impact.
- Improve security response through automation, process improvement and mechanisms for scaling.
- Lead security frameworks and controls that balance risk reduction, business objectives and builder experience.
- Manage cross-organizational relationships, communications, escalations and resolution of complex security challenges.
- Guide architecture and technical strategy for security solutions; mentor and develop future security leaders.
Experience and capabilities
