The role focuses on Scrum facilitation, team coaching, impediment removal, Product Owner support, and effective Agile practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead Scrum teams in adopting and applying Agile practices; facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews or demos, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Coach teams to improve Agile maturity, collaboration, and self-organization; identify process gaps and implement improvements.
- Support Product Owners with backlog management, prioritization, refinement, and sprint-ready user stories.
- Identify, track, and remove impediments; resolve delivery issues and conflicts within teams and across stakeholders.
- For larger projects, plan and monitor scope, quality, timelines, performance, resources, progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery activities.
- Collaborate across IT, business, marketing, customer service, and other stakeholder groups; support customer and business objectives.
- Keep Jira boards, sprint information, and project tracking accurate and current; promote Agile best practices.
Required experience and capabilities
- Strong hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead; strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and coaching Agile teams; understanding of the SDLC and modern software development practices.
- Experience with cross-functional teams and multiple business stakeholders; strong experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to identify and remove team or project impediments; strong stakeholder, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Industry, education, and certifications
- Financial-services or banking experience is stated as required or strongly preferred; the description leaves its mandatory status ambiguous.
- Experience supporting financial-services digital transformation initiatives is listed.
- Knowledge of web and mobile applications is advantageous; CRM systems, cloud platforms, and regulatory requirements are described as advantageous or desirable.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
- PSM or SSM (SAFe Scrum Master) certification is described as required/preferred, so mandatory status is ambiguous.
