Project Estimator - High Rise Buildings

Role overview

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of construction estimating experience, including significant experience on high-rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, and finishing works; construction materials, methods, labor productivity, and market rates.
• Experience preparing detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and relevant estimating or quantity surveying software.
• Strong analytical, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
• UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.

Estimating and tendering

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for high-rise projects; review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare detailed pricing, and analyze rates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and construction activities.
• Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations; develop competitive, commercially viable tender proposals.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and cost impacts; coordinate with commercial, procurement, engineering, and project teams.
• Review scope changes, variations, and additional works and assess their cost implications; maintain cost databases, historical rates, and market pricing.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization while maintaining project requirements and quality.
• Participate in tender clarification meetings and negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors; submit accurate estimates by required deadlines.
