Abu Al Naga Contracting LLC seeks experienced Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers for its team in Dubai, UAE.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate MEP works with architectural, structural, and civil disciplines.
- Review MEP shop drawings, builders’ work drawings, and coordination drawings before submission.
- Identify and resolve clashes using coordination drawings and BIM models; Revit and Navisworks are preferred tools.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and the main contractor to support smooth MEP execution.
- Monitor site progress and ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Attend coordination meetings and prepare follow-up action items.
- Support material submittals, shop drawing submissions, RFIs, and technical clarifications.
- Coordinate ceiling layouts, builders’ work openings, sleeves, and service routing.
- Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Assist with progress reports, tracking logs, and technical issue resolution.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and authority inspections when required.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, health and safety requirements, and project quality standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of MEP coordination experience in mid-rise building projects.
- Good understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Electrical, and ELV systems.
- AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Revit and Navisworks is preferred.
- Familiarity with UAE authority requirements, including DEWA, Dubai Municipality, and Dubai Civil Defence, is advantageous.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
