Role overview
Inspect and monitor painting activities at construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved procedures.
Responsibilities
- Inspect surface preparation, abrasive blasting, primer application, intermediate coats, and final painting.
- Check surface cleanliness, surface profile, DFT/WFT, and environmental conditions.
- Verify painting work against project specifications, approved method statements, and inspection procedures.
- Monitor coating quality, identify defects, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with site engineers, QA/QC teams, and contractors during inspections.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain painting quality records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements during painting and coating activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–6 years of relevant painting and coating inspection experience in construction or industrial projects.
- Good knowledge of surface preparation, blasting, coating application, and inspection techniques.
- Familiarity with DFT gauges, surface profile gauges, and environmental monitoring instruments.
- Knowledge of painting inspection standards and QA/QC documentation.
- Relevant painting or coating inspection certification is an advantage.
- Candidates available to join immediately are preferred.
