Experienced mechanical draftsman role in the civil construction industry.
The posting describes 6–7 years of relevant experience in the overview and 5–7 years in the requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify plumbing layouts, drainage, water supply, and sanitary drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop detailed 2D drawings from engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare shop, installation, and as-built drawings.
- Coordinate plumbing drawings with HVAC, electrical, and other MEP services to avoid clashes.
- Read engineering drawings, architectural plans, and project specifications.
- Revise drawings based on engineers' comments and site requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with project standards and applicable codes.
- Coordinate with engineers, site teams, and other draftsmen for timely drawing submissions.
Requirements
- Five to seven years of relevant experience as a Plumbing CAD Operator or Plumbing Draftsman.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and good knowledge of plumbing, drainage, water supply, and sanitary systems.
- Ability to interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications; experience preparing shop and as-built drawings.
- Knowledge of MEP coordination and clash detection is an advantage.
- Relevant Qatar project experience is preferred.
