The employer is hiring an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer with 6–7 years of relevant experience.
The role concerns oil and gas or construction projects and electrical quality assurance, inspections, testing, and project documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor electrical QA/QC procedures according to project specifications and applicable standards.
- Inspect cable laying, cable trays, lighting, power distribution, earthing, and grounding systems.
- Review electrical drawings, method statements, ITPs, and technical specifications.
- Conduct inspections and coordinate with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors.
- Prepare and maintain inspection requests, inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.
- Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate electrical testing and commissioning activities and check compliance with approved drawings and standards.
- Prepare quality documentation and handover records.
Requirements
- 6–7 years of relevant experience as an Electrical QA/QC Engineer.
- A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in oil and gas or construction projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
- Good knowledge of ITPs, method statements, NCRs, IRs, and quality documentation.
- Familiarity with relevant IEC, IEEE, and project-specific standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Candidates currently available in Qatar are preferred.
