Experienced Mechanical QC Engineer role for oil and gas or construction projects.
The role involves mechanical inspection, quality control, testing, and project documentation.
Responsibilities
- Inspect mechanical works against approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.
- Inspect piping, equipment installation, fabrication, and mechanical construction activities.
- Review drawings, specifications, Method Statements, ITPs, and quality requirements.
- Prepare Inspection Requests, inspection reports, checklists, and other QC documentation.
- Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors.
- Monitor welding, fit-up, dimensional checks, hydrotesting, pressure testing, and other inspection activities.
- Identify non-conformities, follow corrective actions, and track NCR closure.
- Maintain quality records and support final handover documentation.
Requirements
- 6–7 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical QC Engineer.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection and quality control procedures.
- Understanding of piping, fabrication, equipment installation, and testing activities.
- Familiarity with ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs, IRs, and quality documentation.
- Oil and gas or construction experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant ASME, API, and project-specific standards is preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills; Qatar availability is preferred.
