Experienced Electrical Draftsman role requiring 6–7 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or construction.
The candidate should have strong knowledge of electrical drafting, technical drawings, and electrical design software.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare electrical layouts, detailed drawings, and installation drawings to project requirements.
- Develop lighting, power distribution, earthing, grounding, and cable tray layout drawings.
- Prepare single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and cable routing drawings.
- Review drawings and incorporate engineering comments and site revisions; prepare as-built drawings and update redline markups.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, MEP teams, and site personnel to resolve drawing issues.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
Requirements
- 6–7 years of experience as an Electrical Draftsman in Oil & Gas or construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage.
- A diploma or relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or Drafting is preferred.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Good coordination and communication skills; Qatar availability is preferred.
