Role overview

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant mechanical drafting experience in the UAE.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical drawing preparation.
• Knowledge of HVAC, ducting layouts, chilled water piping, ventilation, and MEP coordination with other building services.
• Experience with shop, coordination, and as-built drawings; ability to interpret layouts, specifications, and technical documents.
• Understanding of UAE construction standards, consultant requirements, and project specifications.
• Ability to incorporate review comments, prepare drawings for approval, and create sections, elevations, equipment layouts, installation details, and builders' work drawings.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, coordinate technical resolutions, manage multiple drawings, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Immediate joining is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical and HVAC shop drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop ducting, chilled water piping, ventilation, equipment installation, section, elevation, enlarged-detail, and installation drawings.
• Prepare coordinated mechanical drawings based on approved design drawings and project specifications.
• Prepare builders' work drawings and coordinate openings and sleeves across disciplines.
• Coordinate drawings with electrical, plumbing, firefighting, architectural, and structural teams.
• Review design drawings for discrepancies, clashes, and missing information before submission.
• Incorporate consultant, client, and engineer comments and prepare drawings for review, approval, and construction.
• Update drawings for site conditions, approved changes, and engineer instructions; produce accurate as-built drawings.
• Verify dimensions, equipment locations, service clearances, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, document control, drafting standards, title blocks, and company procedures.
• Support engineers and BIM teams, prioritize tasks, and deliver accurate drawings within project deadlines.
