Responsibilities

• Teach first- and second-year Mathematics courses in the General Education Curriculum across all academic programs.
• Courses include Algebra and Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I and II, Statistics, Linear Algebra, Numerical Problem Solving, Numerical Methods, and programming in MATLAB.
• Design and deliver teaching materials using student-centered strategies and appropriate learning supports.
• Create and evaluate authentic assessment tools that measure course learning outcomes.
• Develop technology-enriched learning environments and facilitate use of digital platforms for student learning and feedback.
• Manage learning-environment resources and course portfolio documents required for program review and accreditation.
• Pursue continuous academic professional development and participate in curriculum development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Contribute to university activities and committee work related to curriculum, assessment, student success, and community outreach.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a recognized institution is required.
• A post-graduate certificate in education teaching methods or equivalent is desirable.
• At least three years of full-time teaching experience in upper secondary, post-secondary, or higher education institutions is required.
• Recent, relevant academic or professional experience may be considered an asset.
• Candidates should demonstrate commitment to applied and experiential teaching and learning.
• Candidates must be able to design and deliver materials, create assessments, use digital learning platforms, and manage course resources.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and strong interpersonal skills are required.
