Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain, configure, and support enterprise server, virtualization, storage, backup, cloud, and Microsoft infrastructure for reliable and secure operations.
- Manage Microsoft systems including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, identity, messaging, virtualization, endpoint management, monitoring, and security technologies.
- Administer Linux servers, including Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and virtualization and VDI platforms including VMware vSphere and Horizon.
- Support GPU-enabled VDI, HPC, NVIDIA GPU, compute, and storage infrastructure for academic, research, AI, and virtual desktop workloads.
- Administer backup and recovery, test restorations, and support disaster recovery activities.
- Support hybrid cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
- Administer SCCM/MECM, SCOM, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Defender; perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.
- Monitor availability, health, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and meet IT operational SLAs.
- Collaborate on infrastructure upgrades, migrations, expansions, cloud/server projects, and incident, problem, change, capacity, and release management.
- Develop PowerShell scripts and other automation; maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, configuration records, and implementation documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, Service Desk, and IT teams on troubleshooting, maintenance, and implementation; recommend improvements to infrastructure reliability, security, and efficiency.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in IT or a related field and at least 3 years of system administration experience are required.
- Microsoft MCSE, RHCE, CCNP, VMware, and Azure certifications are desirable.
Languages
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is preferred.
