Accounting responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and summarize accrual-basis general ledger data in the ERP system to support accurate financial statements.
- Prepare and enter data for financial reports, audits, and year-end budgets under university financial procedures; meet internal and external reporting deadlines.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
- Initiate fund transfer requests, prepare journal entries, and maintain supporting documentation.
- Perform monthly bank, accounts payable, and prepayment reconciliations; complete daily reconciliations of online payment transactions.
- Prepare and post entries for tuition POS charges, prepayments, prepaid expenses, amortization, and manual accruals.
- Monitor outstanding POS prepayments in PeopleSoft and coordinate timely application and accurate recording.
- Update market rates in PeopleSoft and coordinate with IT and banking partners on services, system updates, and portal enhancements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- At least four years of relevant Finance, Accounting, or related experience is required.
- Written and spoken English fluency is required.
- Written and spoken Arabic fluency is preferred.
