Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and teach interdisciplinary courses in social analysis, Qatar history, Islamic culture, human development, public policy, or related applied fields focused on Qatar and the GCC.
• Evaluate student progress and manage learning-environment resources.
• Participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage, and control program-area projects.
• Maintain course portfolio documents for program review and accreditation.
• Contribute to instructional development and new program development.

Education and experience

• Master’s degree in Sociology, History, Political Science, International Relations, Gulf Studies, Public Policy, or a related applied field from a recognized institution.
• At least three years of full-time teaching experience in upper secondary, post-secondary, or higher education; a mix of academic and professional experience is welcome.

Skills and languages

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is required.
• Demonstrated ability to use educational technology and platforms, with academic and information literacy skills.
• Commitment to applied and experiential learning and the ability to design, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments.
• Digital fluency, ability to support research and learning with current tools, and ability to create technology-enriched environments for active student learning.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
• Effective oral and written communication, collaboration, and rapport with learners, colleagues, sponsor-employers, and community members.
