The role
The Finance Intern works with the Finance team and business partners to maintain accurate numbers, clean books, and timely month-end close.
The role is hands-on and based in qlub's Dubai office.
Responsibilities
- Support bank, payment gateway, transaction, and intercompany reconciliations; flag discrepancies and coordinate resolution.
- Prepare customer invoices, credit notes, and debit notes.
- Support accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
- Assist with accruals, reconciliations, account reviews, and month-end close.
- Maintain complete, accurate, audit-ready accounting records and supporting documents.
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and process improvements.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills; able to work independently and in a team.
- Fluency in English is required.
Nice to have
- Previous accounting or finance internship or coursework.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems and bank or payment reconciliations.
- Exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, or financial reporting.
- Experience in payments, fintech, hospitality technology, or a high-growth marketplace.
