Naffco is hiring an Estimation Engineer specializing in firefighting systems.
Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, project specifications, BOQs, and firefighting system drawings.
- Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and material requirements.
- Estimate materials, equipment, installation, labor, and other project costs.
- Prepare competitive quotations and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Projects.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and verify pricing.
- Identify cost savings while maintaining compliance and quality.
- Follow NFPA, QCDD, and project requirements; track tender clarifications, revisions, and deadlines.
- Maintain estimation records, pricing databases, and tender documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of firefighting and fire protection systems estimation experience; 3 years of firefighting estimation is required.
- Knowledge of sprinklers, fire hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, NFPA standards, and QCDD requirements.
- Experience with quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost analysis, tender estimation, and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and relevant estimation tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Mechanical Engineering Certificate and UPDA Certificate are required.
- Qatar estimation experience and familiarity with local suppliers and pricing are advantageous.
Pay
- Pay is stated as QAR 1.00–QAR 2.00 per month.
