Requirements
- Minimum 4–5 years of UAE experience as an Electrical Draftsman; the posting also lists UAE experience of one year as preferred.
- Must be currently based in the UAE.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience preparing electrical shop drawings and layouts for building and construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, lighting, power, containment, and related electrical services.
- Understanding of electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, schematics, sections, and details.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Understanding of UAE construction practices and electrical standards.
- Experience coordinating drawings with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and other MEP disciplines.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines; Revit MEP/BIM knowledge is an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical shop drawings, layouts, sections, details, and schematics.
- Prepare and update drawings for lighting, power, containment, and other electrical systems.
- Prepare and update single-line diagrams and electrical layouts.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, and other MEP disciplines.
- Incorporate engineers' comments and revisions into drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Prepare drawings for submission, approval, construction, and as-built purposes.
- Identify coordination issues and assist in resolving drawing clashes.
- Maintain drawing standards, revisions, and documentation.
- Work with engineers, BIM coordinators, and project teams to deliver drawings accurately and on schedule.
