Role overview
The data analyst intern will promote data and data methodologies to functional analysts and other company stakeholders.
The role interacts with marketing, sales, finance, and product teams in a professional, international, entrepreneurial environment.
Role duties
- Access, construct, and manipulate large datasets for planned analyses using SQL, Python, or similar tools.
- Design and develop BI dashboards for organizational metrics and indicators using Sisense or similar tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Data Studio.
- Help define KPIs and advance data governance through standardization and communication.
- Develop analysis and reporting capabilities, monitor performance and quality-control plans, and identify improvements.
- Write queries and reports and present findings.
- Research and validate entity data using internal and external sources and analyze projects in the Reference Data environment.
- Analyze, specify, test, and implement interfaces, workflow solutions, and reference data solutions, including regression testing before upgrades.
- Participate in designing, implementing, and interpreting experiments or trials to refine ongoing strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages to analyze datasets, such as Excel, SPSS, or SAS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem-solving skills.
