Assistant Operations Manager - Transport role in the Logistics Services team at Transguard’s headquarters in DAFZA, Dubai.
Reports to the operations manager and is responsible for daily passenger-transport operations, regional KPIs, service levels, and assigned-area costs.
Responsibilities
- Manage transport operations, supervisors, area scorecards, KPIs, operational P&L, budgets, and cost per passenger.
- Oversee vehicle scheduling, route planning, driver schedules, fleet reporting, compliance inspections, and operational policies.
- Analyze vehicle, driver, and schedule patterns to improve resource utilization and reduce transport costs.
- Manage suppliers, route quotes, ad hoc transport requests, and the Transport Risk Register.
- Assess, train, appraise, and motivate staff; report performance strengths and development needs.
- Deploy GPS and TMS smart-routing and scheduling tools to their maximum benefit.
Selection criteria
- Degree in Logistics required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in large-fleet transport operations required; passenger-transport experience is an advantage.
- At least five years’ experience in a transport-related vocation.
