Assistant Manager - Soft Services joins the Total Facilities Management team in Dubai.
Manages and supports daily division operations and resolves issues to maintain client and customer service levels.
Financial and customer responsibilities
- Assist in managing cleaning budgets and expenses, controlling costs while maintaining quality.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment inventory and maintain adequate stock.
- Handle cleanliness-related customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Inspect facilities, assess cleanliness, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective measures.
Cleaning operations and team management
- Assist the Account Manager with daily cleaning schedules, coverage, and resource allocation.
- Supervise and train cleaning staff and provide guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Ensure PPM and SR items are completed and closed within target times.
- Develop cleaning procedures and best practices with the Account Manager and ensure regulatory and company-policy compliance.
- Maintain cleaning activity records, including attendance, performance evaluations, and incident reports.
- Promote a safe working environment and prepare monthly staff meetings and daily or weekly team briefings.
- Track industry trends, cleaning techniques, and emerging technologies to improve service efficiency.
Selection criteria
- At least 7 years of facilities management experience in a managerial position.
- At least 2 years of mall management experience in a managerial position.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in facilities management and a BICSc training certificate.
- Good knowledge of heavy-duty cleaning machines, cleaning chemicals, and cleaning procedures and methods.
- Proven project management skills.
- Proven experience leading continuous-improvement projects, with commercial and contract awareness.
