Faculty positions

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate courses in Aeronautical Engineering and related diploma, degree, and graduate programs.
• Evaluate student progress and manage learning-environment resources.
• Liaise with industry and educational institutions and participate in industry advisory committees.
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise final-year and capstone projects within the program area.
• Maintain course portfolio documents required for program review and accreditation.
• Participate in instructional and new program development.
• Enhance applied research and innovation.

Education and experience

• PhD in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field, specifically Aircraft Avionics, and Flight Dynamics and Control, from an internationally recognized and accredited institution.
• Track record of academic excellence from internationally recognized and accredited institutions.
• At least five years of academic experience after the PhD.
• At least three years of industrial experience related to the field of study.
• Competency in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Ability to teach in classroom, laboratory, simulation, and practicum settings and use varied educational technologies.
• Academic and information literacy skills.

• Ability to initiate and conduct independent applied research with potential for significant national and international contributions and impact.
• Professional recognition among peers, a publication track record, and firm plans for generating research income.
• Commitment to applied and experiential learning and the ability to design, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments.
• Digital fluency and ability to use current and emerging tools to support research and learning and create technology-enriched learning environments.
• Commitment to teaching effectiveness and continuous professional development.
• Effective oral and written communication, collaboration, and rapport-building skills.
• Experience in leadership and innovation in technology-based projects.
