Warehouse Manager

Role purpose

Key responsibilities

• Lead receiving, storage, picking, material issuance, dispatch, and returns; verify incoming goods against orders, delivery notes, specifications, and quantities.
• Maintain ERP inventory records, organise storage and labelling, monitor stock and reorder needs, and coordinate allocations and delivery schedules with Procurement and project teams.
• Set procedures for requests, approvals, issuance, returns, and transfers; conduct counts, investigate discrepancies, and control obsolete, damaged, slow-moving, or surplus stock.
• Protect construction materials, electrical equipment, tools, and spare parts; track site-issued assets and coordinate loading, unloading, transport, and deliveries.
• Manage warehouse staff and enforce HSE, housekeeping, fire safety, safe stacking, and material-handling procedures.
• Coordinate with Finance on reconciliation, valuation, and supporting documents; report on availability, accuracy, consumption, discrepancies, and performance.

Experience and education

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
• At least 7 years of warehouse or inventory management experience, including 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Relevant experience in contracting, construction, electrical infrastructure, or building materials operations in the UAE or GCC.
• Experience managing warehouse teams and deliveries to multiple project sites.

Technical qualifications

• Strong knowledge of receiving, storage, stock control, material issuance, dispatch, and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with cables, switchgear, panels, electrical equipment, construction materials, and consumables.
• ERP-based inventory management proficiency required; Odoo experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and accurate operational reporting ability.
• Understanding of warehouse safety, material preservation, lifting operations, and storage requirements.
• Warehouse procedure and inventory-control improvement experience preferred.

Management and communication

• Demonstrated ability to maintain inventory accuracy and reliable material availability, control costs, minimise losses, and improve productivity.
• Strong planning, organisation, decision-making within delegated approval limits, and coordination with Procurement, Finance, suppliers, transport providers, and project teams.
• Practical problem-solving for discrepancies, delivery delays, and material shortages; accountable recordkeeping and asset protection.
• Able to balance project priorities, service, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Strong written and spoken English; previous Sharjah experience and a UAE driving licence are advantageous.
