MEP Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, technical submissions, and material requirements.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces and services with civil, structural, architectural, and fit-out works.
• Identify clashes, raise technical queries, and follow up approved solutions before execution.
• Supervise installations and monitor subcontractor progress, workmanship, and resources.
• Coordinate material submissions, procurement schedules, deliveries, and consultant approvals.
• Monitor work against approved drawings, method statements, and project programmes.
• Arrange inspections with QA/QC and consultants and follow up corrective actions.
• Review progress, quantities, and variations with the Project Manager.
• Support testing, commissioning, system integration, and technical issue resolution.
• Maintain progress, inspection, testing, and as-built records; coordinate handover documents, manuals, warranties, and training.
• Report progress, technical risks, procurement constraints, and resource needs to project management.

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant MEP experience, including UAE site execution and coordination.
• Practical knowledge of building services and MEP discipline coordination.
• Experience reviewing technical drawings, material submissions, specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Ability to supervise subcontractors and resolve installation and coordination issues.
• Experience supporting inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Familiarity with relevant project and authority approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit or BIM coordination experience is an advantage.
• Strong planning, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
• A UAE driving licence is preferred.

Pay

• AED 2,600–10,000 per month.
