Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities against approved drawings, specifications, and project programmes.
• Plan daily and weekly activities with the Project Manager, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and work-front requirements.
• Review drawings, verify site dimensions, and raise technical queries as needed.
• Monitor workmanship, productivity, material consumption, and subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate civil, architectural, finishing, and MEP interfaces to avoid clashes and delays.
• Arrange QA/QC and consultant inspections and follow up on approvals and corrective actions.
• Check material deliveries against approved requirements and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Maintain progress reports, site records, measurements, and inspection documentation.
• Identify constraints and delays and support corrective actions and recovery plans.
• Ensure safety procedures and proper housekeeping.
• Support snagging, as-built records, final inspections, and handover.

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• At least five years of relevant site engineering experience, including experience in the UAE.
• Practical knowledge of construction methods, finishing works, and site coordination.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, programmes, and bills of quantities.
• Experience supervising subcontractors, workers, and daily site execution.
• Working knowledge of material requirements, inspections, and quality procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Strong planning, reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
• A UAE driving licence is preferred.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 2,400–9,800 per month.
