Site delivery and management

• Lead construction to approved designs, method statements, specifications, and contractual requirements; plan mobilisation, access, logistics, sequencing, work fronts, and resources.
• Coordinate site-condition and existing-service checks with engineering before construction begins.
• Lead site teams and manage approved subcontractors, specialist contractors, equipment, and resources within delegated authority.
• Supervise MV/LV installations, transformers, switchgear, distribution boards, cables, metering, earthing, and associated civil works.
• Coordinate technical queries and proposed design changes with the Engineering Lead.
• Manage daily work plans and short-term schedules; monitor progress, productivity, materials, and milestones; resolve constraints and implement recovery actions.
• Control labour, plant, and material usage to reduce waste, rework, and avoidable costs; maintain records supporting forecasts, payments, variations, and claims.
• Enforce HSE requirements, permits, and isolation procedures; coordinate high-risk activities and stop unsafe work.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, quality records, SEWA inspections, approvals, permits, and clearances; close nonconformities with relevant stakeholders.
• Manage construction interfaces, access, and planned outages; support commissioning, completion records, as-built inputs, defect closure, and accepted handover.

Technical and experience requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant engineering qualification.
• More than 10 years of electrical infrastructure or power distribution construction experience in the UAE or GCC, including leadership of site teams and subcontractors.
• Practical experience with MV/LV installations, transformers, switchgear, cable laying and termination, earthing, associated civil works, and commissioning support.
• Demonstrated SEWA site-inspection coordination and construction-compliance experience.
• Valid individual SEWA approval or authorisation where required for assigned duties, with verifiable scope and validity.
• Working knowledge of construction HSE, permit controls, isolation procedures, inspection and test plans, and quality nonconformity closure.
• Ability to interpret drawings, plan resources, manage subcontractors, and maintain accurate construction and progress records.
• UAE driving licence preferred.

• Ability to monitor productivity, control site costs, and contribute to project profitability through efficient execution.
• Strong coordination and communication with project management, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, clients, consultants, and authority representatives.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making within delegated authority; ability to manage priorities and milestones while maintaining safety and quality standards.
