Technical Manager - MEP

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead MEP technical functions and review design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate building services with civil, structural, and architectural disciplines and resolve design or site conflicts.
• Oversee submissions, RFIs, clarifications, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with drawings, codes, and authority requirements.
• Monitor progress, advise project teams, review equipment and material selections, and resolve technical challenges.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, system integration, as-built drawings, and handover documents.
• Maintain QA/QC, health and safety, and company technical standards; guide MEP engineers, coordinators, and technical staff.

Requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of relevant MEP engineering and construction experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Prior Technical Manager, MEP Technical Manager, or senior MEP engineering experience in building construction or contracting.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and associated building services.
• Experience in design coordination, shop drawing review, technical submissions, and multidisciplinary issue resolution.
• Understanding of UAE construction standards, authority regulations, project specifications, and quality requirements.
• Able to coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, site teams, and subcontractors.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; BIM/Revit and other relevant engineering software knowledge is an advantage.

Pay

• AED 15,000–20,000 per month.
