Role overview

Project responsibilities

• Plan and oversee MEP activities from commencement through completion and handover.
• Manage mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drainage, firefighting, and other building-services installations.
• Develop execution plans, resource plans, and schedules with planning and construction teams.
• Coordinate clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Review shop drawings, coordinated drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and authority regulations.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, and architectural teams to resolve clashes and interface issues.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement recovery measures to meet project milestones.
• Manage budgets, cost control, procurement, variations, and subcontractor payments.
• Ensure MEP materials and equipment are procured and available on time.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with schedules, quality, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams; provide management updates; manage technical issues, RFIs, design changes, inspections, commissioning, approvals, documentation, and handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of relevant MEP construction experience, including substantial building-project management experience.
• Previous MEP Project Manager experience in a construction or contracting company is required.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other building services.
• Experience in planning, execution, cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Understanding of MEP drawings, specifications, BOQs, contract documents, and construction methodologies.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, main contractors, and relevant UAE authorities.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, authority approvals, and handover procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage priorities and strict deadlines.

Pay

• Pay is AED 22,000–24,000 per month.
