Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on construction projects.
Ensure MEP works are coordinated with other disciplines and comply with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate building-services work with civil, structural, and architectural teams; review drawings and technical documents.
- Identify and resolve clashes and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, site engineers, and project teams.
- Monitor progress, inspect installations, and coordinate technical and material approvals, RFIs, and inspections.
- Follow up on materials, delivery schedules, subcontractor activities, QA/QC, HSE, and authority compliance.
- Assist with testing, commissioning, as-built drawings, snagging, and handover; attend meetings and report progress and issues.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant MEP coordination experience in building construction.
- UAE or GCC construction experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
- Experience reviewing shop drawings, coordinating services, and resolving site technical issues.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit/BIM coordination tools are an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, organizational, and problem-solving skills; able to coordinate with project stakeholders.
Pay
- AED 10,000–12,000 per month.
