Oversee and coordinate HVAC installation works for building construction projects.
Manage site execution, technical coordination, quality control, and progress against approved drawings, specifications, standards, and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise HVAC installation and review drawings, submittals, equipment schedules, method statements, and technical documents.
- Supervise air-conditioning, ductwork, chilled water and refrigerant piping, ventilation, exhaust, and associated equipment installation.
- Coordinate HVAC work with other project disciplines and stakeholders; monitor site activity, manpower, materials, subcontractors, and progress.
- Prepare and follow up on RFIs, inspection requests, material approvals, and technical submissions; conduct inspections and resolve site issues.
- Coordinate TAB, pre-commissioning, testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover.
- Ensure quality, HSE, and UAE authority requirements are met; report schedule constraints and corrective actions.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of relevant HVAC engineering and site execution experience in building construction projects.
- UAE or GCC MEP contracting experience is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including chilled water, ductwork, ventilation, air-conditioning equipment, and controls.
- Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, technical specifications, and method statements; knowledge of testing, commissioning, TAB, and quality inspection.
- Familiarity with UAE building regulations and relevant authority requirements.
- AutoCAD and Microsoft Office proficiency required; Revit/BIM and HVAC design software knowledge is advantageous.
- Strong coordination, communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and site-team management abilities.
Pay
- AED 8,000–10,000 per month.
