Execute testing and commissioning activities for utility-scale solar PV projects, covering DC and AC systems.
Testing and commissioning duties
- Conduct pre-commissioning inspections, equipment checks, functional testing, and commissioning of PV modules, string combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and associated electrical systems.
- Perform insulation resistance, continuity, earthing resistance, polarity, and other relevant electrical tests.
- Coordinate commissioning of MV/HV equipment, substations, protection relays, and power transformers.
- Verify inverter functionality, synchronization, grid connection, and performance parameters.
- Review and implement approved commissioning procedures, method statements, ITPs, and test reports.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, OEMs, QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, equipment abnormalities, and commissioning issues.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, IEC standards, grid code and client requirements, and PTW, LOTO, and electrical safety procedures.
- Maintain commissioning records, test certificates, punch lists, and system handover documentation.
- Support grid synchronization, reliability runs, performance testing, and final project handover.
- Participate in site inspections, technical meetings, and stakeholder coordination meetings.
